New STC Director!

Greetings from the Serve The City Board!

Our sincere thanks for both your faithful prayer and support, particularly during our recent search for an Executive Director for Serve The City. We would like to acknowledge God’s goodness in walking with us these past months, and His leading as we considered candidates for this role.

It is with great confidence in God’s plan for this ministry that we are announcing the appointment of Trisha Sellers as the Executive Director of Serve The City. Trisha has been an active participant in many aspects of Serve The City over the years, while most recently serving in a leadership role with Bridgehaven Pregnancy Support Center since 2008. Trisha brings with her a passion to do everything for the sake of the Gospel and giftings that will benefit Serve The City in many areas. (See below for her bio.)

We look forward to seeing you at the September 8 Gathering where we will share with you how God led us to select Trisha for this position. We will introduce Trisha at the Gathering and will be available to answer any questions you might have.

Meet Trisha Sellers

Trisha has been serving in the Cedar Rapids community for the past 16 years. She has had the privilege of working closely with many Cedar Rapids businesses, ministries, and organizations. The personal and professional journey that God has used to prepare her for such a time as this includes career leadership roles that range from non-profits to Fortune 500 entities. With a unique and diverse skill set, Trisha is “wired” for envisioning possibilities, tackling challenges, modeling servant leadership, and sharing her passion “to do everything for the sake of the Gospel.”

Trisha and her husband, Steve, have six adult children and five “bonus” kids-by-marriage. With twelve grandchildren scattered between Cedar Rapids, Madison, WI and Indianapolis, IN, they make the most of vacation and weekends to enjoy time with them. Steve serves as a Marketplace Chaplain in addition to devoting much of his time mentoring men in the journey through addiction recovery.
