Yes! We have a theme every year.
Our theme for 2021/2022 was “Thrive”: We seek to be a thriving community that promotes unity and points others to Christ. We also desire to thrive in our marriages, relationships, unity, in loving others, finances and in reaching a hurting world. Our prayer is that we can thrive together in reaching our community for Christ.

Christian leaders in Linn County (and surrounding areas within roughly a 30-minute drive). This includes pastors, church staff, ministry and business leaders, and interested members of the community. Anyone is invited to attend; our primary target audience is Christian leaders.

Serve The City seeks to promote relationship-building opportunities that encourages engagement and inspires others to mobilize for prayer, care and share initiatives. These monthly gatherings help fulfill the mission of Serve The City.

To pursue unity and health in Christ that leads to collaborative efforts of prayer, care, and share to win our city for Christ.

We seek to create networking and fellowship opportunities at every monthly gathering and to educate, equip and encourage leaders to be part of “something bigger.” We also hope to build trust among attendees and promote city-wide collaborative activity that mobilizes volunteers. We desire to create a sense of “we are in this together” in impacting our community for Christ.

Our goal is to inspire and encourage all attendees and to promote relationship-building opportunities that contribute to building unity in the Cedar Rapids area. We believe that the combination of fellowship, food and inspirational speakers is worth the time investment. We hope that you will find these gatherings enjoyable and impactful.

If you bring someone who has never attended before, you and your guest will eat for free! Everyone is welcome to attend, and we encourage you to invite others.

Serve The City follows all CDC guidelines regarding the wearing of masks. We respect your right to wear a mask at our monthly events.

Each month our Gathering is hosted by a partner church or business in the Cedar Rapids area.

Good Friday Prayer Breakfast

Friday, April 2, 2021 – 7:30 to 8:30 AM Live on Facebook

About

For the past 18 years, the Good Friday Prayer Breakfast has been helping to bring the Good News to Cedar Rapids.

And while the pandemic does not allow us to meet in person, we invite everyone to watch and listen. There will be some special music, different local people will be praying, and Pastor Daniel Winn from New City Church will share an inspirational message on the hope we all have in Jesus Christ. It is going to be a great morning!

Join us on Friday, April 2nd from 7:30 to 8:30 AM! Don’t miss it!

Where?

Serve the City is once again partnering with the Good Friday Prayer Breakfast.
